December 16th we travelled to Cedarville and took on a well coached tough defensive team. Offensively we struggled in this game and ultimately were unable to overcome our sluggish start. Senior Josie Stiner led us with 12 points. Junior Ollie Mason had 2 points and 4 steals. Belle Anderson and Morgan House each added 2.
Thursday December 19th we hosted Mississinawa Valley, the number 1 team in the conference. We knew this would be a tall task and our goal going into this game was to play solid defense and take care of the basketball. The first half our defense was solid. We were able to hold them to 28 points in the first half. They pulled away in the 4th quarter with a final score 63-27. Despite the score this was our best defensive show this year. Senior Josie Stiner led with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Junior Morgan House had 4 points, and an impressive 10 rebounds. Hannah Henderson, Lillian Cordle, and Ollie Mason had 2 points each. Freshman Bre Leal had 1 point and 4 rebounds. Taylor Reynolds had 1 points. This brings our record to 4-4.
