8TH GRADE FALLS TO A SCRAPPY MISS. VALLEY

8th Grade falls to a scrappy Miss. Valley
On Monday 12/16 the Lady Blazers returned to their home court for a conference game against Miss. Valley. While Trail got off to a sluggish start the Lady Hawks came out firing in the first half going into half time with a 17-6 lead.
The Lady Blazers never gave up and continued to play hard aggressive defense coming away with 16 steals as team. We made some minor adjustments to our offensive plan to battle a defense we have yet to see this season and it proved to be working, as we were able to more than double our baskets in the second half. Unfortunately, the turnovers and lack of defensive rebounding gave the Lady Hawks a sight advantage every quarter, and they were able to maintain their led with the final score being 19-32.
These Ladies have so much fight and fire in them it will only be a matter of time until we get back in the win column. They never gave up the entire game and just kept trying to claw their way back on top.
Scoring Lawson-6 pts. Thompson- 5 pts.Denlinger-4 pts. Pearson and Marker each added 2.
We face another tough challenge on Thursday going against Talawanda at home.
