Monday we hosted a good Milton Union team and unfortunately came up short. We handled their press well but just could not get anything going offensively. Our leading scorer was Morgan House with 9. Josie Stiner added 4. Ollie Mason and Claire Osswald had 2 each, and Lillian Cordle with 1 point.
Thursday we traveled to Bradford for a conference match up. The first quarter we came out and struggled to get shots to go in against their zone. We trailed 7-3 after the first quarter. Second quarter our defense held Bradford to just 3 points and we started to chip into their lead, trailing 10-8 at halftime. Third quarter we started to put some points on the board. Defense came up big again in the third holding them to just 4 points, ending the quarter with us taking the lead 16-14. The fourth quarter we were able to finally pull away scoring 11 points and holding Bradford to just 1. Our defense came to play and was the biggest difference in this game. Senior Josie Stiner led us with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Hannah Henderson added 7 points and 6 rebounds. Freshman Taylor Reynolds had 6 points and 5 steals. Juniors Ollie Mason and Morgan house each had 2 points. Blazers took home the win with a final score of 27-15. Our next game is Monday 12/16 at Cedarville.
