Last week was a busy week for the Lady Blazers. They faced Dayton Christian on Monday, New Miami on Tuesday, and Tri-County North on Thursday going 2-1 on the week.
Monday we travelled to Dayton Christian for a non-conference match up. We came out a little slow in the first half but were able to quickly pick up the pace offensively. We were led by our upper classman. Senior Hannah Henderson led the team with 13 points, followed by Josie Stiner and Morgan House with 10 each. Freshman Taylor Reynolds and Sammy Gardner both had 4, Lillian Cordle and Ollie Mason both added a bucket for a final score of 45-22.
Tuesday evening we hosted New Miami in another non-conference match up. Our defense came to play holding New Miami to just 13 total points. Senior Josie Stiner led the team with 14 points and an impressive 8 rebounds. Morgan House added 11 points. Lillian Cordle gave us 8 points and 7 rebounds. Taylor Reynolds added 8, and Hannah Henderson and Bre Leal added 2 each. Final score 45-13.
Thursday we headed to Tri County North for a conference match up. We knew this would be a tough physical game. Unfortunately shots were not falling, and we suffered our first conference and season loss with a final score of 26-22. Freshman Taylor Reynolds led our scoring with 8 points, followed by Freshman Bre Leal with 5 points, Josie Stiner with 3 points, Morgan House with 2 points and 12 rebounds, Lillian Cordle with 2 points, and Peyton White with 1 point.
Monday we host a tough Milton Union Team with JV at 6 pm, and Varsity to follow
