The Lady Blazers hosted Ansonia for our 3rd conference game of the season coming out victorious. The ladies were challenged to come out and play intense full court defense and control the pace of the game and that is exactly what they did. At the end of the 1st quarter the score was 14-2. They never let off the gas the rest of the game, outscoring the Lady Tigers each remaining quarter 20-8, 29-12 and the final being 35-14. As a team we collected 15 steals and forced multiple turnovers.
It was another well-rounded offensive game for this team, Kinley Marker and Leigha Denlinger led the team with 7 points each. Madison Lawson and Ioma Alavez followed close behind with 6 and 5 points respectively. Meah came away with 4 points of her own, while Grace, Kenady and Harper rounded out our scoring each adding a bucket.
This team now improves to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in conference play. We have a long break ahead of us not returning to the court until 12/14 to host Legacy Christian, where the Lady Blazers look to continue their impressive performances.
