GREAT START TO THE SEASON FOR VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL

Tuesday night the Girls varsity team kicked off their season with a great conference win against Franklin Monroe. Our goal going into this game was to shut down their point guard, we were able to hold her to 1 point the entire game. Our defense stepped up to a tough challenge holding them to just 24 points. Offensively we struggled early, but were able to settle in and pull away late. Our senior leaders stepped up big with 24 out of our 35 points. Josie Stiner and Hannah Henderson both had 11 points each and Belle Anderson added 2. Junior Morgan House had 7 points. Our bench provided us with a spark on both ends of the floor, keeping us fresh. Freshman Taylor Reynolds and Bre Leal scored their first varsity points with 2 each. We will be back in action on Monday Dec. 2nd @ Dayton Christian.
