On Saturday Nov. 23rd, the Lady Blazers 8th grade basketball team got their season underway with a win against Houston. We came out firing right away in the first quarter with great full court press and a defensive effort that proved to be too much for the Houston team. At half time the Lady Blazers were up 15-3. Ioma led the team in points with 9, Harper and Kinley were right behind her with 7 & 6 respectfully. Kenady and Meah added 4 strong points of their own, while Madison and Leigha both made a foul shot to round out the teams score, with the final being 32-13.
The Lady Blazers will host their first home game on Monday 11/25 before the Thanksgiving holiday break.
