VARSITY FOOTBALL FALLS SHORT TO TROJANS

Varsity Football Falls Short to Trojans
The National Trail Varsity Football Team fell short to the Trojans on Saturday morning . The Final Score was 14-13. Talon Bousman was a standout in the game with 4 straight plays where the Trojans had no answer for him. Talon scored a receiving Touchdown, then recovered an onside kick, scored another receiving touchdown, then on the next defensive series intercepted a pass.

Unfortunately even with all of that, the Blazers couldn't make enough big plays to stay ahead and close the deal. Zach Creager led the Blazers with 47 Rushing yards and Cooper Smith had 130 passing yards and 2 passing Touchdowns.

The Blazers defense held tough for most of the game giving up 200 total yards, consisting of 105 yards passing and 95 yards rushing yards allowed.

The Blazers gained 136 yards passing total and 73 yards rushing for a total of 206 yards.

The Blazer Varsity Football Team looks to rebound this week at Home vs. Ansonia for Homecoming.
