The National Trail Varsity Football Team defeated the Bradford Railroaders 47-7 in their home opener Friday. Many Blazers contributed to the win and had the ball in their hands.
Players of the week:
Overall: Jonah Brinkley (96 yd int. return) and Luke Vernon ( 7 pancake blocks)
Offensive POW: Offensive Line - 24 total pancake blocks led to 258 yards rushing and 116 yards passing total. 
Defensive POW - Brady Thompson - Many Qb pressures and 1 sack forced bad throws. 
Special teams  POW - Talon Bousman had several good returns
Leading the way through the air Cooper smith was 4 for 7 for 101 yards and 2 passing TDS
Leading the way on the ground Talon Bousman rushed for 70 yards 1 TD and an 8 yard rushing avg. 
Zack Creager rushed for 66 yards on 11 carries and a TD
Matthew Scott added a 14 yard TD run as well. 
Jody Wintrow added 53 rushing yards and Sullivan 31 yards. 
Defensively Talon Bousman led in tackles with 6
Jonah Brinkley added a pick 6 for 96 yards and Zack Creager also had an interception. 
The defense had 4 sacks overall. 
The Blazers look to continue success this week at Dixie.
