The National Trail boys golf team traveled to Liberty Country Club to take on Preble Shawnee tonight and came away with a 156-172 win. The win pushes the Blazers record to a perfect 8-0 on the season to hold on to 1st place in the WOAC standings.
The Blazers were led by seniors Nick Brubaker and Justin Turner who shot matching 38s. Junior Kellen Laird and freshman Josh Brubaker shot matching 40s to round out the scoring. Senior Aidan Koehl came in with a 45 and freshman Christian Rutan shot 46 in the non-scoring spots.
The win keeps Trail with a one game lead over Dixie in the WOAC standings with one week of matches left. The Blazers season continues Monday when they travel to Winchester, Indiana to take on Mississinawa.
