Tuesday night the Lady Blazers Soccer team came out fired up and ready to play in the first half of this WOAC match-up. Senior Josie Stiner played a great game in goal coming away with 15 saves, and only allowing 1 goal in the first 40 minutes. The offense and defense were looking sharp and working as a team to move the ball on the pitch. Winning the ball out of the air, and moving as a unit.
Unfortunately, the second half proved to be a different story, the heat and TVS speed upfront eventually took a toll on the Lady Blazers. They were able to find critical gaps to allow for shots on goal, finding the back off the net 3 more times in the last 40 minutes. They also took over the midfield winning more free balls and changing the momentum of the game. This young soccer team is still progressing and growing with every game, and will be looking for their first when of the season as we start a 5 game home stretch Friday against Stivers.
