National Trail Baseball is victorious against Twin Valley South on Wednesday 5-3.
The Blazers got the scoring started in the top of the first inning when Watts led the game off with a single followed by a single by Cooper Smith. With runners on first and second Lee grounded out but Watts hustled from second to score the games first run. Coffey drives in Cooper Smith with a single taking a 2-0 lead.
The Panthers battled back and took the lead 3-2 in the top of the 5th when they executed a perfect sqeeze play.
NT ties it back up in the bottom of the 5th when Vance singled and advanced to second on a passed ball. Vance then steals third and scored on that steal with a bad throw from the catcher.
The Blazers add two in the bottom of the sixth when Hamm singles into left center and Laird goes first to third on the hit. Laird scored on an over throw by the center fielder on the play. Hamm eventually scores rounding out the scoring for the Blazers.
The Blazers got another strong start from Braylon Coffey.
