The National Trail nine put together their best defensive performance behind
the nine strike out performance of pitcher Morgan House. Trail jumped out to a five
run lead in the first inning starting with House driving in leadoff batter Jaleah
Coffey. House then scored when Summer Stringfield reached on an error. The big
hit was Haydn Davies’ single up the middle to drive in Stringfield and Melling.
Trail added to the lead in the second on Miya Ditmer’s perfectly executed
sacrifice bunt. Stringfield then tripled and then scored on heads up base running.
The scoring wrapped up in the third when House blasted a drive to the left center
field fence, then sped home for a HR.
Ditmer, House, and Davies each drove in two runs. Coffey stole three bases.
Ott and Stringfield both reached base three times. The Blazer travel to Dixie on
Tuesday the 23 rd .
