SOFTBALL FALLS TO SHAWNEE

National Trail Fastpitch was defeated by Shawnee in a high scoring 15-9 game.
The game was highlighted by big come backs by both squads. After the Arrows
plated single runs in the 1 st and 2 nd , Trail came back with a run of their own in the 2 nd
and took the lead 3-2 with heads up baserunning in the bottom of the third.
Shawnee then erupted with multiple HRs in the 4 th . First by Sargent-Eckert then by
Deaton. At that point, the Arrows led 7-3. Trail responded in the fifth with a Morgan
House RBI single and a Haydn Davies two RBI single to right field. Trail then led 8-
7.
Not to be outdone, Shawnee came back plating 5 runs in the 6 th and 3 more in the
7 th to pull away for the victory. Z. Davidson earned the win and Stringfield took the
loss. Trail’s offense came to life with 9 hits including 3 for Miranda Ott, 2 for Morgan
House, and 2 for Haydn Davies.
