TRAIL BASEBALL PICKS UP CONFERENCE WIN AGAINST PREBLE SHAWNEE

The Blazers cruise to a conference win on Tuesday night at home 7-2 led by sophomore Mason Leal on the bump and sophomore Braylon Coffey at the plate.

Preble Shawnee scored in the top of the first on a two out double. Trail bounced back scoring two when Ruebush scored on a wild pitch on a great read and Shawnee committed an error in the inning. Trail put on a five spot in the third inning with a single by Coffey scoring a run, Cooper Lee with a two strike single scoring two, Vance with an infield in single scoring one and Watts hitting a sac fly scoring Brubaker from third. Shawnee added a single run in the 5th to round out the scoring for the night.

Leal was solid on the mound getting his first win on the year. He went 5 innings giving up 2 and striking out 7. Hamm came in to the game to pitch the last 2 not giving up a hit and striking out 4.
