7TH GRADE GIRLS LOSE 20-13 IN SEMIFINALS AGAINST TRI-VILLAGE

7th grade girls lose 20-13 in Semifinals against Tri-Village
Tuesday evening the lady blazers took on the patriots in the Semifinals at Franklin Monroe. Trail was pumped up and ready to get revenge against Tri-Village for beating them on their home floor 38-9 earlier in the season. I asked the girls to give me 110% for 24 minutes and they came out and gave me 120%. After the first we were down 10-5 after getting into some early foul trouble and letting them get 6 points at the free throw line. In the second we held them to just one made basket, making it 13-7 at the half. In the second half we matched them basket for basket except for they had one made free throw that we did not. Despite our efforts we weren't able to overcome the lead they took in the first quarter with 6 made free throws. Meah Pearson led the team with 5 points, 2 steals, 2 offensive rebounds and 5 defensive rebounds. Madison Lawson led the team in rebounding getting 6 offensive boards and 3 defensive. She also added 4 points and 1 steal of her own. Harper Henderson rounded off the blazers with 4 points and 5 rebounds. The whole team played the best defensive game that we have saw all season. To say I am proud of this team is an understatement. These girls may not be moving to the championship game but they still came home winners. I can't wait to watch these girls continue to grow in the years to come. Thank you all for your support this season.
