7TH GRADE GIRLS MOVE TO SEMIFINALS

The 7th grade girls took on Franklin Monroe in the quarterfinals today at Franklin Monroe. Our girls came out strong and ready for a win and that's just what they did. Beating FM 15-12. Our girls once again struggled to have shots fall but their defensive efforts made up for that. We played our best defensive game as team and it brought us the results we were looking for. These girls were gassed and battling injuries and still pushed hard. Meah Pearson had her biggest game of the season with 11 points, 5 steals, 6 offensive boards and 2 defensive. Madison Lawson had her best defensive game with 10 steals, 5 offensive rebounds, 4 defensive and 1 assist. Harper Henderson wasn't far behind with 6 steals, 7 offensive rebounds, 2 assists and 2 points. Our point guard Kinley Marker did a great job controlling the ball and she also had 3 steals, 3 rebounds and 2 points. The girls as a whole each contributed in their own way in this win. We hope to continue with this effort and tempo as we take on Tri-Village in the semifinals Tuesday at FM @ 7 pm.
