BOYS JV FALL IN CLOSE MATCHUP

Boys JV fall in close matchup
The Boys JV basketball team fell Friday against Ansonia 48-53. In the first quarter the Blazers found ways to get shots but the ball would not go through the net causing a 19-11 deficit. The shooting woes would not last long as Ethan Osswald would nail 4 triples in the second quarter and would finish the quarter with 16 points. The Blazers out scored the Tigers 23-9 in the second quarter giving them a 34-28 edge going into the half. The second half was balanced but the tigers hit a couple key shots and the boys could not match it down the stretch. Ultimately losing by 5.
Braylon Coffey led the way with 17 points, 7 assists
Ethan Osswald had 16 points (4/4 from 3), Korbin Sullivan netted 2 triples and finished with 8 points, Jonah Brinkley scored 3 points and 10 rebounds, Kyle Laird rounded out the scoring with 4 points.

The Blazers will be on the road Saturday night against Yellow Springs.
