Defense again was the name of the game for the Lady Blazers. As a team they came away again with 15 steals that helped keep the ball in the Blazers possession. Kira Rutan had one of her greatest showings of the season on defense. She played amazing help side and man to man helping Taylor come away with 8 steals and Bre with 4 and picking up 2 of her own. This team plays so unselfishly on both sides of the ball. They create easy baskets underneath with their ball movement.
Five different Lady Blazers scored tonight. Brooklyn hit a foul shot, Eva worked her butt off underneath to come away with 2 points, 3 offensive rebounds and 5 defensive. Sammy had another great game in the post as well, coming away with 3 points, 3 offensive rebounds and 7 defensive rebounds. Bre controlled the tempo of the game and managed the clock scoring 10 points of her own. Despite still battling and ankle injury Taylor Reynolds had her season high 14 points. Audrey came in clutch in the game securing 2 late rebounds and contributing to 2 steals. All around the girls played a wonderful game outscoring the Indians 22-10 in the final 3 quarters!
