The NT Middle School Wrestling team competed at the Versailles Dual Tournament this past weeken. The pool style format meant there would be no individual weight class champions, only 1st and 2nd Place team titles were awarded in the 17 team tournament.
Your Blazer wrestlers once again made a strong showing with Grady Ott and Colt Foster leading the way. Both were undefeated in the tournament, Grady going 5-0, all wins by fall. Colt was 4-0 with 4 pins before winning his 5th match by a 7-2 decision.
Remy Longfellow suffered his first defeat of the season in a knock down drag out double OT 4-3 loss against a very strong Versailles opponent. Remy went 4-1 on the day with 4 pins. Remy continues to be a strong leader for the team.
Henry Roberts was 3-3 for the day with 2 pins.
Tommy Toschlog was 5-0 but his points did not count due to missing weight.
The team will travel to Shendandoah (IN) on Monday 1/29.
