Tri-Village visited National Trail riding a seven-game winning streak while the Blazers were slumping, but the Patriots faced a rejuvenated Blazer team that held the reigning State Champions to just 18 points in the first half. Holding just a one-point lead at halftime, the Patriot scorers were constantly frustrated by Trail’s stifling defense. Unfortunately, the Lady Blazers could not limit their opponents outside shooting in the third quarter as the Patriots erupted for 32 points in the frame, dropping six three-point field goals to give them a commanding lead. Kendyl Johnson, Morgan House, and Belle Anderson combined to limit the inside presence of the Patriots leading scorer, holding Kennedi Hagar to just 11 points. The Patriots then turned to their outside scorers to pull ahead and take a 69-37 victory in the end, with 27 of those points coming by virtue of three-point baskets. Junior Josie Stiner led the Blazer scoring with 14 and Sophomore Ollie Mason contributed eight. Sophomore Morgan House had six fourth quarter points while dishing out several assists and grabbing multiple rebounds throughout the game. Senior Kendyl Johnson provided another strong defensive effort while throwing in six and Junior Hannah Henderson, three, to complete the Blazer scoring.

The JV dropped their two-quarter matchup but outscored their opponents 10-4 in the final frame. Both squads will look to rally at Franklin (Saturday, 11 AM tip) and at home vs. Brookville (Monday, 6 PM tip).
