The Lady Blazers pulled off a nail biter against Dixie. Leading the whole game, they let the Greyhounds sneak in a 3 pointer to take the lead late in the 4th quarter. Bre hit 3 of her final 4 foul shots to help regain the lead, and with solid rebounding from Sammy and Eva we were able to secure the win.
Again, the defense came up big for the Lady Blazers, as a team they came away with 11 total steals (Taylor 6, Bre 3, Kira 1 and Eva 1). They shut down most of the perimeter shots forcing the Greyhounds to take off balance shots that just happened to fall. As a team they play so well together on defense working with each other no matter who is in the game.
Bre led the team with 11 points, Taylor came away with 8. Eva had a great night under the basket scoring 7 points and picking 3 offensive rebounds.
Sammy knocked in a foul shot to round out the teams scoring. Brooklyn and Audrey both stepped up tonight being key players on both sides of the ball. They came away with clutch rebounds and solid defense that help the Lady Blazers to the Victory!
