Despite getting into early foul trouble with 2 players having 4 fouls before the half, the Lady Blazers regained their composer after half time and came away with the win.
They outscored the Patriots in 3 of the 4 quarters, only trailing at the end of the 1st. Tri-Village started to make a comeback late in the 3rd quarter briefly taking the lead, but again the Lady Blazers pulled together as a team and took back the lead and never lost it.
Tri-Village hit 3, 3-point shots early in the first quarter, we switched to a man-to-man defense and only allowed four more points thereafter. Sammy, Eva, Brooklyn and Audrey all worked hard on defense in the post only allowing 2 points in the paint. Bre, Taylor, Kira and Madison applied great pressure up top, also only allowing the Patriots 2 points from the perimeter. They hit their remaining 10 points off of foul shots.
Two players scored in double digits with Bre getting 12 and Taylor scoring her season high of 11 points. Sammy added 6 hard fought points and Audrey rounded out the teams scoring hitting a foul shot.
The Lady Blazers move to 5-2 in the WOAC. 7-4 overall.
