BOYS CLOSE OUT 2023 WITH A WIN

Boys close out 2023 with a win
The varsity boys closed out the year with an impressive 68-31 win over the Eagles of East Dayton Christian. Tayden Blevins helped the boys overcome a slow start by hitting a first quarter 3 on his way to 7 points in the quarter and finishing with 13 points in the game. Tyler Lesh started the 2nd quarter with a couple of fast break baskets before Logan Smith and Kellen Laird found their way offensively, combining for 15 in the quarter, pushing the lead to 16 at halftime. Smith would finish with a game high 21 points and Laird ended up with 17. The strong 2nd quarter was aided by Korbin Sullivan and Mason Leal's pressure defense that lead to easy baskets. The second half saw freshmen Jonah Brinkley score 5 points and Kyle Laird hit a 3 for his first career varsity points. Ethan Osswald played a strong game with 2 points, several rebounds, steals, deflections and tough man defense. Braylon Coffey had a steal and a rebound in his first varsity action.
The boys travel to Twin Valley South on Friday, January 5th to take on the Panthers.
