The Lady Blazers came out strong against a shorthanded Lockland squad, netting 21 first quarter points on their way to a 45-8 home victory. Senior Kendyl Johnson was tasked with defending the Pride’s leading scorer and was equal to the task, limiting Lockland’s Center to just one point. Trail dominated the glass, ensuring no second chance opportunities from the opposition. Johnson not only played well defensively, but led the Lady Blazers in scoring with 11. The rest of the team chipped in with even contributions: Junior Hannah Henderson (nine); Sophomore Morgan House (eight); and Junior Josie Stiner (five). Sophomore Ollie Mason sank a field goal as well as Freshman Chloe Graves. Fellow Freshmen Lillian Cordle (six) and Peyton White (two) recorded their first Varsity points in the fourth quarter. Trail’s victory brings their record to 3-4 and will not play again until January 4 in a WOAC home matchup vs. Preble Shawnee. JV tips at 6 PM with Varsity to follow.
