TRAIL SUFFERS FIRST DOUBLE DIGIT LOSS
In a game that featured 14 made 3 point baskets (8 in the first half alone) by the Lady Hawks, National Trail found themselves down 27-10 after the first quarter. The margin would only grow wider as the Blackhawks continued their hot shooting throughout the game, with several second half made baskets from well beyond the 3 point line. Trail played a controlled game and was largely unbothered by the MV full court pressure, but too many deflected passes in the half court resulted in turnovers. Kendyl Johnson, Morgan House, Josie Stiner, and Belle Anderson helped limit the Hawks on the offensive glass, while Hannah Henderson continued her stellar play by leading the team with 15 points, while Johnson contributed six. Stiner had four and House, three to round out the Lady Blazer offense. Trail moves to 2-4 with the loss while Mississinawa remains perfect on their home floor. The Blazers will look forward to hosting Lockland Saturday afternoon in a Varsity-only game with a 1 PM tip.
