The 8th Grade Lady Blazers pulled off a big win tonight in a non-conference game against Eaton. They played one of their best games of the season on both sides of the ball. They stepped up as a team and brought home another home win.
Sammy Gardner proved to be a force under the basket, with 12 points, 10 of those came in the 4th quarter to help increase the Blazer lead when Eaton started creeping back into the game.
Bre had 8 points and 7 steals, while Taylor contributed 8 points of her own and 2 steals along with 5 rebounds. Audrey Thomas went 2/2 from the line. Kira and Eva also went 50 % from the line adding to the team total points. Brooklynn Holsapple had great defensive game, going man to man against one of Eaton's best shooters.
As a team they went 8/14 from the line, which is the best they have shot all season so far. This team has grown so much, and I am excited as their coach to watch them to continue to grow as a team.
Our next game will be Saturday 12/16 against Brookville again at home.
