LADY BLAZERS DROP FIRST ROAD GAME

Lady Blazers Drop First Road Game
National Trail took to the road for their first WOAC matchup at Franklin Monroe Thursday night, falling short to the Jets 24-15 in a low-scoring affair. Mustering only five first half points, the Lady Blazers had difficulty finding the bottom of the net all evening until a fourth quarter spurt which brought them to within four points of the home team before FM pulled away in the final minutes. Free throws proved difficult for the Blazers, sinking only five from the stripe. Trail played with defensive intensity all game, but there wasn’t enough offense to claim victory in the end. Senior Kendyl Johnson led National Trail with eight points, Junior Josie Stiner added six, and Sophomore Ollie Mason contributed a free throw. The Lady Blazers will turn the page and look forward to their second WOAC matchup of the season in a home tilt versus Tri-County North Thursday, December 7 with a JV tip of 6 PM.
