CROSS COUNTRY HAS MULTIPLE ALL-COUNTY RUNNERS

The cross country teams raced at the Eaton Country Club for the Preble County Championships Meet.
Ioma Alavez and Kira Rutan led the blazers with a first and 3rd place finish. Ioma ran a 14:01.57 and Kira finished in 15:18.24. Both girls ran new personal records (PR) and got medals!
Bryce Couvutsakis was the first non-Eaton runner in the county placing 8th in 13:01.54; new PR! Reggie Osborne placed 15th, also running a new PR in 14:16.89! Both boys received ribbons for their efforts.
Braydan Lee and Tucker Denlinger worked hard together to finish 10th and 11th. The 2 boys weren’t even half a second apart, running an 18:30.33 and 18:30.75… new PRs for both! They received ribbons.
Gretchen Murphy and Sydney Whalen placed for ladies. Gretchen was 8th, running a 24:01.89- which is her season best! Sydney got 12th place running a 25:10.94, a couple seconds shy of her season best. Judith Denlinger ran through adversities- many other runners would have given up the race. Her determination to finish the race is admirable! She finished 16th, one place away from all-county honors. Taryn Rucci finished with a new PR of 27:39.17! Ollie Mason rounded them out running a 28:34.01.
We had 17 Elementary runners run the 1 mile race. They all received ribbons and did an amazing job! The elementary races are for anyone K-6. Bring them out to NT for the 1 mile or 1/2 mile race at 8:30 on Saturday!
