CROSS COUNTRY AT EATON INVITATIONAL

Cross Country at Eaton Invitational
The cross country teams are only getting better! The runners showed up to compete hard against good competition at the Eaton Invitational.
High School:
Braydan Lee started off the day with a new PR of 19:12.96 and placing 21st to receive an individual ribbon award. Tucker Denlinger also received a ribbon by running the course in 19:28.27 and placing 27th.
Judith Denlinger and Gretchen Murphy obtained individual medals by finishing 19th and 20th overall. Judith ran a season best of 24:10.42 while Gretchen was shy of her season best running a 24:16.45. Sydney Whalen came through with a ribbon, placing 29th in a 25:04.49. Sydney shaved 2 minutes off her season best! Ollie Mason finished 25:38.05 to place 33rd, just shy of individual awards. Ollie cut another minute off her personal record! Taryn Rucci ran tough to finish 53rd, wrapping up the girls scoring to place 5th with 126 points.
Junior High:
Junior High boys were led by, 8th grader, Bryce Couvutsakis who ran a season best time of 13:22.61. Bryce placed 37th overall out of 181 finishers. Reggie Osborne ran 14:48.76, which is a new personal record! Reggie placed 93rd overall.
Junior High girls had great races. Ioma Alavez ran a 14:11.35, improving her PR by 30 seconds! Ioma placed 18th out of the 138 finishers to receive a ribbon. Kira Rutan dropped over a minute off her PR! She ran the course in 15:24.28, placing her 45th overall.

The elementary cross country had a great showing with about 20 runners in the 1 mile race! Great job to all of them!
