The National Trail boys golf team hosted Preble Shawnee tonight at Highland Lake golf course and came away with a 162-204 victory. The win moves the boys golf team to 8-2 overall and 7-2 in WOAC play.
The Blazers were led by matching 38s from junior Nick Brubaker and sophomore Kellen Laird. Junior Justin Turner followed with a 41 and senior Fletcher Davies shot 45 to round out the scoring. Junior Aidan Koehl shot 47 and Riley Littrell carded a 52 for the Blazers’ efforts.
The JV golf team was again able to compete with sophomore Sawyer Davies leading the way with a 53 followed closely by freshman Kyle Laird who carded a 54. Freshman Charlie Cummings came in with a 62 and sophomore Jackson Skinner finished with a 67 for a team score of 236.
The Blazers play host tomorrow to Bradford at Highland Lake golf course as they look to improve to 8-2 in conference play.
