CROSS COUNTRY GETS 2ND AT BLACKHAWK INVITATIONAL

Cross Country gets 2nd at Blackhawk Invitational
The cross country teams traveled Chenoweth Trails for the Blackhawk Invitational. Both, high school and junior high girls teams brought home 2nd place finishes.
High school girls individually placed 9th (Gretchen Murphy, 24:06.67), 13th (Judith Denlinger, 24:59.96), 17th (Ollie Mason, 27:26.04), 20th (Sydney Whalen, 27:34.16), and 21st (Taryn Rucci, 28:17.59). The girls finished with 80 points, falling to the girls from Mississinawa Valley with 46 points.
Also placing 2nd as a team, were the Junior High Girls! The girls had adjusting scoring allowing them to place as a full team. Ioma Alavez placed 3rd (15:05.54) and Kira Rutan placed 8th (17:07.04). Both received medals for their individual placings.
High School Boys ran hard races. Tucker Denlinger placed 10th in a new PR of 19:22.41, receiving him a medal. Braydan Lee ran a 19:40.69 and placed 14th.
Junior High Boys both received medals for their efforts today. Bryce Couvutsakis ran a 14:25.96 and placed 5th. Reggie Osborne ran a 15:19.96 and placed 9th.
NTs Elementary Program had a showing at the 1/2 course. Majority of the runners were from Trail- thank you for racing hard!
Blazers will all race again on Saturday at the Eaton Invitational in Fort St. Clair.
