Trail Golf bounces back with win
The National Trail boys golf team bounced back from a tough loss yesterday and came away with a 162-230 win over Tri-County North.
The Blazers were led by junior Nick Brubaker who carded a 37 and came away as match medalist. Sophomore Kellen Laird shot a 39, junior Justin Turner was just behind at 40, and junior Riley Littrell came in with a 46 to round out the scoring. Senior Fletcher Davies came away with a 47 and junior Aidan Koehl 49. This was the first time all season where all six players shot below 50 in the same match!
The junior varsity team shot 221 tonight for their best score of the season. Sophomore Sawyer Davies led the team with a 45, freshman Kyle Laird shot 51, freshman Charlie Cummings 60, and sophomore Jackson Skinner 65.
The Blazers return to action Thursday at Brown’s Run golf course in the Middletown Christian invitational.
