CROSS COUNTRY COMPETES AT TREATY CITY INVITE

Cross Country Competes at Treaty City Invite
Blazer cross country competed at a large meet Saturday against some good competition.
Starting the day out with Junior High Girls; Ioma Alavez ran her first race in a 14:49.95 placing her 34th. Kira Rutan finished in 16:48.03, cutting 30 seconds off her time from last week, placing 83rd. Total of 153 runners in the race.
Junior High Boys ran great races, improving from last weekend. Bryce Couvutsakis ran over a minute faster to finish at a 14:01.54. Reggie Osborne was next to finish in 15:10.95, about 30 seconds faster than last week.
High School Girls competed while battling some soreness/injuries. Girls were led by Judith Denlinger running a 27:28.35, improving from last week. Sydney Whalen, 29:22.18. Ollie Masons first race in 29:27.26. Taryn Rucci 31:18.51.
High School Boys wrapped up the day finishing back-to-back. Tucker Denlinger was able to break into the 19s today with a 19:45.27, placing 80th. Braydan Lee was on his heels, running a 19:47.91, while taking time off from last week. Braydan placed 81st. There were 320 boys in the high school race.
Blazers will race again on Saturday at the Blackhawk Invitational at Chenoweth Trails starting at 9am.
