The National Trail boys golf team traveled to Stillwater Valley golf course to take part in the Versailles Invitational and finished in 5th place. In another strong field, the boys showed why they are one of the top teams in the Southwest district with a quality finish.
Junior Nick Brubaker led the Blazers with a 75 that was good for a tie for 2nd place overall. Sophomore Kellen Laird came in with an 81, junior Aidan Koehl really stepped up and finished at 90 and junior Riley Littrell carded a 94 for the scoring Blazers. Senior Fletcher Davies got off to a hot start, but the tough back 9 set him back and he finished with a 98 and sophomore Sawyer Davies finished at 112.
Trail is back at it Tuesday in a huge WOAC match against Dixie. The Blazers and Greyhounds are tied for 2nd in the conference.
