The National Trail boys golf team hosted Ansonia tonight at Highland Lake golf course and came away with a 163-194 win!
The Blazers were led by sophomore Kellen Laird who was match medalist with an even par 36! Junior Nick Brubaker was just behind with a 38, while senior Fletcher Davies shot a 44. Juniors Justin Turner and Riley Littrell both carded 45s, with sophomore Sawyer Davies rounding out the Blazers varsity efforts with a 51.
The Blazers junior varsity competed as a team for the first time this year and shot a 242. Junior Aidan Koehl and freshman Kyle Laird led the scoring with 51 each.
The win over Ansonia takes the Blazers record to 5-1 in WOAC play and 6-1 overall.
Trail returns to action Saturday in the Versailles Invitational.
