BOYS GOLF HAS RECORD-SETTING DAY

Boys Golf has record-setting day
The boys golf team took a short trip to Eaton Country Club yesterday to take part in the Preble County Tournament. This ended up being a record-setting day as the 18 hole scoring record fell and National Trail’s 18 hole individual record was tied!
Junior Nick Brubaker tied the 18 hole individual record by shooting an even par 72. This was good enough to win the overall tournament title by 3 strokes! Sophomore Kellen Laird followed with a very impressive 75 to finish 2nd in the tournament. One stroke behind him was junior Justin Turner with a 76 and 3rd place overall. Junior Riley Littrell rounded out the scoring with an 85 - good for 4th place in the tournament. That was a dominant performance for the Blazers, who ended up with a 308. A 308 beat the previous low 18 hole score of 312 set by the historic 2002 team.
Senior Fletcher Davies played very well on his way to shooting a 90, while Sawyer Davies rounded out Trail’s efforts with a 102.
This record-setting performance carried Trail to their third straight county championship!
The Blazers get back at it Friday when they host the Blazer Invite at Highland Lake golf club.
