BLAZERS WIN SECTIONAL TITLE

The National Trail boys golf team traveled to Turtle Creek golf course to take part in the sectional tournament and came away with their third consecutive sectional title!
The Blazers were led by junior Josh Brubaker who won the individual sectional title, pacing the field with a 2-over par 73. This marks the second consecutive year a Trail golfer has won sectionals. Junior Wyatt Gebhart finished 3rd place on the day shooting 79. Junior Christian Rutan finished just outside the top-10 with a 12th place finish shooting 85, and freshman Gavyn Guthrie rounded out the scoring with a 94. Senior Charlie Cummings fired a 95 in the non-scoring spot.
The team’s 331 finished six shots ahead of second place Tri-Village and 21 clear of third place Newton.
The Blazers head to Heatherwoode golf course Monday the 28th to compete in the district tournament seeking their third consecutive trip to the state tournament.
