8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL WINS AT BRADFORD

The 8th grade volleyball team picked up their second win in as many games, beating home team Bradford 25-15 and 25-17. This shows so much improvement from last season when the team lost 2 close matches to the railroaders in 2025.

Serving was a key component to the win. Leading the team was Mira Hughes with 12 points (2 aces), Jessa Barnes with 7 service points (3 aces),and Haven Ruebush with 5 points off the serve (2 aces). Adalee Rogers, Paisley Patrick, and Miah Baldwin each chipped in 3 points on the night.

The girls played a great game, controlling the net play most points. Haven had 5 kills, Jessa had 3, while Paisley and Ava each had one. Miranda Derringer and Hailee Pack played tough front row positions, coming up with key plays for the Blazers.

Both 7th and 8th grade continue on the road Tuesday, traveling to Tri-Village, before returning home to face Mississinawa Valley on Thursday.
