BLAZERS COMPETE IN VERSAILLES INVITATIONAL

The National Trail boys golf team traveled to Stillwater Valley golf club to compete in the Versailles Invitational and finished in 8th place out of 18 teams.
In an extremely strong field, the boys competed and hung close to some of the best teams in the Southwest and northwest districts.
The Blazers were led by junior Joshua Brubaker with an 80. Junior Christian Rutan followed with an 85 and junior Wyatt Gebhart was just behind with an 87. Freshman Gavyn Guthrie came in with a 90 to round out the scoring. Senior Charlie Cummings hit a rough patch on the back 9 at Stillwater to shoot 97 in the non-scoring spot.
The boys continue their WOAC season on Tuesday when they host Twin Valley South and recognize Charlie for senior night.
