National Trail Varsity Blazers were victorious against a 5-0 Yellow Springs team 6-2 on Saturday.

Yellow Springs opened the scoring in the first after Fletcher drew a walk, scoring one run.

National Trail Varsity Blazers took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first thanks to two sacrifice flies one by Ott and one by Laird

National Trail Varsity Blazers added one run in the second after Yellow Springs committed an error.
National Trail Varsity Blazers added one run in the third after Clark grounded out.

Laubenstein earned the win for National Trail Varsity Blazers. The pitcher allowed two hits and two runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking four. Basora took the loss for Yellow Springs. The reliever went three and one-third innings, giving up one run (zero earned) on three hits, striking out four and walking none. Collier stepped on the hill first for Yellow Springs. The pitcher gave up three hits and five runs (four earned) over two and one-third innings, striking out none and walking six. Coffey threw two innings of no-run ball for National Trail Varsity Blazers in relief. The reliever gave up zero hits, striking out four and walking two.

Laird drove the middle of the lineup, leading National Trail Varsity Blazers with two runs batted in. The left fielder went 3-for-3 on the day. Miears led National Trail Varsity Blazers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Leal stole three bases. National Trail Varsity Blazers ran wild on the base paths, piling up seven stolen bases for the game.

National Trail Varsity Blazers turned one double play in the game. Laird and Cordle each made two GREAT catches in the OF limiting Yellow Springs offensively.
