MS LADY BLAZERS END THEIR SEASONS

The 7th grade Lady Blazers ended their season on Monday night, after a tough battle against Ansonia. The team fell in two close sets, 25-27 and 19-25. Jessa Barnes led the team with 6 kills, followed by Bentleigh Buckley with 3 and Miranda Derringer with 2. Haven Ruebush, Miah Baldwin, and Adalee Rogers each added 2 aces from the service line.

The group showed tremendous improvement from the start of the season, growing stronger and more confident with each match. Their hard work and dedication were evident every time they stepped on the court. The coaches are very proud of their progress and excited to see what's ahead for this talented group.

The 8th grade Lady Blazers won their first tournament game against Preble Shawnee on Monday night, winning a competitive 3 set match. The win earned them a trip to Mississinawa Valley versus the number one seed. While the team showed improvement from the match in Union City earlier this season, it was not enough to overcome the Blackhawks. In their tournament run, Millie Brinkley led the team from behind the line with 8 aces and 10 points. Paelyne Hembree-Reece added 6 aces and 16 points. Leiloni Davis served strong as well with 7 points and 4 aces. From the front row, Olivia Stone, Zoey Jordan, Mya Martin and Eli Wolfe-Swartsell all had clutch kills to extend our tournament run.

The coaches are so proud of the growth this team made throughout the season. They were so much fun to work with. We will miss them next year, but know we've prepared them well for the high school teams next year!
