BOYS GOLF WINS BIG ON SENIOR NIGHT

The National Trail boys golf team hosted Mississinawa Valley for senior night recognition and won the match 154-192.
On a night where Trail honored five seniors, it was the entire team that stepped up and shot some great scores! The Blazers were led by senior Kellen Laird who earned match medalist honors shooting an even par 36. Sophomores Wyatt Gebhart and Christian Rutan came in with matching 39s, and sophomore Josh Brubaker finished off the scoring spots with a 40. Seniors Sawyer Davies and Jackson Skinner filled the non-scoring spots with a 46 and 54 respectively.
The win moves the Blazers to 10-0 in conference and sitting in the top spot going into the conference tournament which will take place next week.
The JV team was able to complete their season shooting a team score of 228. Junior Charlie Cummings led the group with a 49, while senior Aiden Rader followed with a 57, sophomore Carson Adkins came in at 59, and senior Braydan Lee rounded out the team score firing a 63.
After the round we were able to honor the seniors for their work and leadership to the program. Kellen and Sawyer were both honored as 4-year lettermen.
Trail returns to action Wednesday September 17th for the WOAC tournament. The Blazers are looking for their third straight conference championship.
