The National Trail boys golf team hosted Ansonia tonight and took a 154-189 victory. The win pushes the Blazers record to 7-0 in WOAC play on the season.
Trail was led by sophomore Josh Brubaker who fired a 35 and was the match medalist. Senior Kellen Laird followed with a 38, sophomore Christian Rutan came in next with a 40, and senior Sawyer Davies rounded out the scoring with a 41. Sophomore Wyatt Gebhart finished just out of the scoring with a 42, while junior Charlie Cummings shot a 46.
The JV team were again in action and finished with a 234. Senior Aiden Rader led the team with a 50, senior Jackson Skinner followed with a 58, sophomore Carson Adkins shot 59, and senior Braydan Lee rounded out the scoring with a 67.
Both teams return to action Thursday when the Blazers host undefeated Arcanum at Highland Lake golf course.
