MANY SEASON BESTS AT TREATY CITY

The cross country teams competed at the Treaty City Invitational in Greenville this morning- showing many season bests!
High school girls started the morning and was led by our senior, Sydney Whalen. Sydney finished 33rd, only 3 spots away from a medal, with a new season bests (SB) of 22:39.4. Kira Rutan was 1 minute behind with a new SB and all time personal record of 23:39.0. Ioma Alavez closed a gap in the last mile to finish in 23:47.8.
High school boys all ran well on the course. Tucker Denlinger out-sprinted another competitor to get 11th place and a medal. Tucker finished the race in a new SB of 17:18.0. Bryce Couvutsakis took some time off for a new SB of 20:04.8. Preston Barnes ran a 20:46.7. Merek Mumm shaved time off for an all-time PR of 21:52.6!
Junior high girls continued the season best pattern with Maddison Loranzan running a 17:04.0. Dalila Alavez shaved a minute off her time to finish the race with a new SB of 18:33.2. Myka Smith also took a minute off her time to have a new SB of 23:50.3.
Last to race was the junior high boys. Wyatt Overley finished his 2 mile race in 13:37.8. Emmett Jacob crossed the line in 16:09.8. Levi Saylor ran a new PR of 18:45.7, taking about a minute and a half off his previous best!
We have a schedule change and will be racing at the Brookville Invitational at Golden Gate Park on Saturday instead of the Blackhawk Invitational. There will be an Elementary race available to run.
