BLAZER HS TRACK OPENS SEASON HOSTING PREBLE SHAWNEE, TRI-VILLAGE, MIAMI VALLEY, UNION CITY, AND FAIRBORN

Blazer HS Track opens season hosting Preble Shawnee, Tri-Village, Miami Valley, Union City, and Fairborn
The Blazer Boys and Girls Track teams got their seasons started on a cold night on April 8th. Both teams feature a lot of new faces and many athletes were getting their first experience in a High School Track meet. Still, both the boys and girls track teams had a strong showing.
Due to a timing malfunction, 5 events were not scored and team results are not available at this time.

The girls were led in the field by Kaitlyn Schweizer. Kaitlyn finished 2nd in the Discus and Pole Vault. She also finished 6th in the shot put. Hannah Henderson finished 3rd in the Long Jump as well.
On the Track, the girls had one 1st place finish. That was Sydney Whalen in the 3200M Run. Sydney was near a personal best with a time of 14:20.91. 4x100 Relay of Henderson, Evie Hoffman, Annabelle Mackie, and Megan Irvin took 2nd with a time of 57.57. Hoffman placed 4th in a tough 100M Dash field. Ollie Mason placed 2nd in the 300M Hurdles and 3rd in the 100M High Hurdles.

For the boys, Tayten Reynolds led the way by being a member of the winning 4x200 Relay (untimed), the Long Jump (18-9.25), the 400 Meter Dash (54.30), and the 200 Meter Dash (24.95). Tayten just edged out Talon Bousman (25.12) and Korbin Sullivan (25.30) for a 1, 2, 3 finish in the event. Jonah Brinkley finished 2nd to Tayten in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 55.44.
The 4 x 100 relay of Jody Wintrow, Colt Foster, Josh Brubaker, and Sullivan finished first with a time of 46.77. Jalen Ditto finished 2nd in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 47.26 and 3rd in the 110 Hurdles running 19.01. Tucker Denlinger and Braydan Lee ran well in the untimed 1600 Meter Run and then followed that up with Tucker finishing 2nd in the 3200 (11:14.11) and Brayden finishing 3rd (12:03.45).
